Labourer - Metal Fabrication

Read and interpret work orders

Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other material from surfaces of metal parts, castings and other metal products

Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metalworking machine operators or other metal workers
Assist welder for setting up Rebar Jigs when required

Transport raw materials and finished metal products manually or using hoists or other devices

Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials

Clean work areas and equipment
Operate rebar equipment as required

Load and unload vehicles using hand truck or dolly

May cut, grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools
Other duties that apply.

Experience working with metal is an asset

Drivers licence is an asset as there is no bus to our location

Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly all day
Bending Standing and crouching is required

Must be willing to obtain Whimis and 1st aid

Must be willing to wear all proper PPE at all times

Must keep jobsite clean and free of hazards
References are required
Able to work in a loud, dusty fast pace environment
Must be willing to work overtime when required
