Parts Technician

Job Description:

Receive and sort incoming parts and supplies

Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in a warehouse, tool room, supply room or other areas as well as receive as required

Process incoming requisitions and issue or distribute parts and supplies for internal usage as well as prepare packaging for shipping to locations
Assess damaged customer components, complete minor repairs/adjustments and assign to technicians for repair as required

Maintain records of orders and the amount, kind and location of parts and supplies on hand using manual or computerized inventory system
Ensure proper invoicing for parts and collaborate with accounting department

Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies
Assist with marketing ideas for distribution and promotion of excess parts and components
Some delivery of parts when and if required on urgent basis

Sell spare and replacement aviation fueling components

Advise retail customers or internal users on appropriateness of parts, supplies or materials requested

Other duties as required

Job Requirements:

Experience as a parts person is required with at least 1-3 year managing aviation parts

Mechanically inclined with problem solving ability

Ability to read and interpret repair manuals

Must have strong computer skills and ideally experience with inventory management systems
Punctual, Attention to detail and strong customer service ability is required
Drivers licence is required

Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Must be able to obtain RAIC certification to work in restricted areas
Must be able to pass drug an alcohol test
