Apiary Worker

Job Description:

Work with honey bees on a honey farm
Harvest honey
Detect and treat bee diseases
Operate and maintain apiary related machinery and equipment
Apiary work
Write daily basic progress reports
Feed and care for bees
Move hives and collect honey
Clean boxes of dead bees in the off season
Move the bees within different sites of the farm depending on the season
Assist in making nucs
Work cleaning and assisting with maintaining hives/nucs in the off season
Assist with assembly of new hives in off season
Packaging honey and putting in boxes
Moving boxes and packaging when received
Removal of waste from new builds and moving material for supervisor and owners as needed
Keeping shop clean and removing waste
Load finished product to truck and unload shipments all year round
Basic fixing of bee equipment year round and mainly off season.

Outdoors, Hot and Cold ( all weather conditions as it is year round)
Willing to assist supervisor and owner in brining material for repairs
Willing to work in rural town
Not afraid of cold weather
