• Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications
• Create shop drawing for customer approval and for production
• Follow up on quotes and send quotes to customers with timelines as well as respond to inquiries
• Coordinate between customer and production
• Manage project file as per the quote provided and approved
• Advise on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards and conduct negotiations
• Establish and maintain tendering process and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
• Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
• Manage and coordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules.

Job Requirements:
• Proficient in AutoCAD with specialized training or possessing an engineering degree in Civil or Architectural disciplines, or a technical diploma in the precast concrete industry, all accompanied by a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Carpentry experience is considered a strong asset.
• Minimum 2 years experience in construction project management, primarily in relation to pre-cast is an asset
• Experience in underground products such as manholes, pipes, etc. and/or pre-tensioning is an asset but not mandatory.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Ability to perform quantity take-offs
• Positive, proactive work ethic with a mind toward problem-solving.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills in the English language, both verbal & written.
• Capable of leading a team in a positive manner.
• Ability to multi-task and manage timelines.
