Heavy Equipment Operator

Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, loaders and graders to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction and related activities
Operate heavy equipment to remove snow and ice through winter months
Operate bulldozers or other heavy equipment to clear brush and stumps prior to logging activities and to build roads at logging and surface mining sites
Provide safe way to remove snow from parking lots using dump trucks, graders, loaders and skid steers
Operate heavy paving and surfacing equipment to lay, spread or compact concrete, asphalt and other surface materials during highway and road construction
Operate power shovels to excavate rock, ore or other materials from open-pit mines, quarries or construction pits
Operate heavy equipment to move, load and unload cargo
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment
Other duties that apply

Attention to detail
Class 3 or higher equivalent licence is an asset
Able work independent and part of a team
Willing to work in all weather conditions
Own transportation is an asset
Willing to work overtime as required
Experience with skid steer, compaction, paver, cold planing, loader, grader, dump truck, motor scraper and dozer is an asset
