Heavy Duty Mechanic

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues

Perform preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and trailers

Repair brakes, suspensions, engines, drivetrains, lighting systems, and trailer components

Troubleshoot faults using diagnostic tools and software

Maintain accurate service and repair records

Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently

Keep work area clean and organized
Other duties as required

Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic certification preferred or 5 years of experience

Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and commercial trailers
Punctual and good attitude

Strong understanding of diesel engines and trailer systems

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently

Valid driver’s license required
Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test in case of incident

Class 1A license considered a strong asset

Welding and fabrication experience is an asset

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
